Choosing a table tennis table: indoor, outdoor or foldable
A table tennis table is the biggest single purchase in the sport, so it's worth matching the table to where it will live and how often it gets used. Indoor tables use a wood-based top that gives the truest bounce, which is why clubs and regular players choose them. If the table will sit outside or in a carport, an outdoor table tennis table uses a weatherproof top that handles rain and sun without warping. Where floor space is tight, our indoor and foldable tables fold in half and roll away between games.
Tabletop thickness, from recreational to competition tables
Tabletop thickness is the main thing that changes how a table plays. Recreational tables sit around 12 to 16mm, club practice tables around 19 to 22mm, and competition tables run 25mm and up. A full-size regulation table is 2.74m long, 1.525m wide and 76cm high. Every full-size table we sell matches these dimensions. The differences are in tabletop thickness, frame and how the table folds.
