Nakama P5

The Butterfly Nakama P5 is a solid beginner’s racket built for learning the authentic Japanese penhold grip and technique. With a single 1-ply wood blade and traditional single-rubber construction, this racket offers the balance and control you need to develop proper fundamentals without overwhelming speed.

The Wakaba rubber on the playing surface delivers moderate speed and spin—just right for learning all the proper strokes. With a 1.9mm sponge, it provides excellent control and spin potential, making it forgiving for developing players. The back of the blade is painted black as traditional Japanese penhold rackets are constructed, allowing both forehand and backhand shots to be executed on the same rubber side.

Comfort is built in with cork mounted on top of the handle and back of the blade, essential for the penhold grip style. The racket comes ready to play, with two 40+ poly balls included and International Table Tennis Federation approval.
