RDJ CS 1

The RDJ CS 1 is a solid choice for beginners learning the Chinese penhold grip. Built with a reliable 5-ply wood blade and Spryer rubber with a 1.7mm sponge, it strikes a good balance between spin, speed and control—without overwhelming newer players with excessive pace. The thinner sponge helps keep rallies manageable, giving you time to develop clean strokes and footwork.

This blade follows traditional Chinese penhold construction, with rubber on one side of the blade only, so both forehand and backhand shots use the same playing surface. The handle is shorter and conical, designed for the penhold grip’s natural hand position.

Approved by the International Table Tennis Federation, the RDJ CS 1 is a practical racket for club play and training. Once assembled, the rubber is permanently bonded to the blade to last the life of the racket.
